Mr. Wright was born in Downriver, Michigan where he resides to this day.

He earned his Bachelor of Arts in English at Michigan State University and his Teaching Certification in Language Arts and History at Eastern Michigan University.

While this is his first year at Hope of Detroit Academy, this is his third year teaching. In his spare time he enjoys watching sports and reading.
