Field trips within our city and to nearby points of interest are scheduled by various classroom teachers throughout the school year. These trips are designed to supplement different aspects of the classroom curriculum and to introduce students to resources of the community. Parents will receive notices of field trips well in advance of the scheduled trip date and will be asked to sign field trip permission forms. Parents are encouraged to attend field trip outings with their children as chaperones. Four field trips a year will be allowed per class. These trips will be planned at the discretion of each teacher. All students are expected to go on field trips when planned by the teacher. This is an activity that will supplement the academic program.
