It is that time of year again.  Our students will be putting their
knowledge to work as they prepare to take the Michigan state wide assessment test known at the MEAP (Michigan Educational Assessment Profile).  The MEAP  will begin on Tuesday, October 11th and run until October 26, 2011.

This is a very important test for the students and school.  We have
been preparing our students very hard so that they may be successful in taking
this test and scoring the highest levels possible.

 Parents you play a very important part in our students performance on the test.  We ask that you give your child/children positive reinforcement and support.  Please make sure that you talk with your child every evening and see how they performed on their test.  Ask them if there was anything that they found difficult and have them talk with their teacher so that he/she may revisit
the area of difficulty.

Parents her are some tips that will help your child
to be at his/her best on the day the they have to test.

 MEAP TIPS:
 Make sure your child goes to bed early and at a reasonable hour

 Make sure your child has a well balanced breakfast before they
leave home.

 Make sure you give your child positive supportive words of
encouragement and support.

Do we have the next Tyler Perry or Nikki Giovanni  in our classroom.  The section of 4B students engage in a  bi-weekly writing contest .  The writing contest is to help them to build their writing skills while at the same time to have the chance to win some prizes. Three students were selected last week has winners.
