5 B Would Like To Wish You A Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year
Detroit Institute of Arts We had a fantastic time at the DIA.
Our fifth grade class really enjoyed looking at all of the great art at the museum. We had an opportunity to see many of the artists we've discussed in class. We also discovered many new artists who we've now added to our favorites list. We would like to thank Ms. Hopman for inviting our class and all of the parents who were kind enough to come with us and help out with the trip. Our Class Has Just Discovered The Americas
That is in Social Studies of course. We are taking a trip with the early European explorers and discovering many new lands. We are also excited to learn about the technology these explorers used and how it enabled them to go even further in their quest for new discoveries.

We are having our Christmas party on Friday @ 2:00 p.m.. We hope you can contribute a dish, snacks, or drinks so that our party will be a tasty success.
A note regarding the celebration was sent home with students last week. If you would like to contribute in some way, please let us know by listing what you will be sending on the note and returning it to school. This will help make organizing the celebration much easier.
