When bad weather is forecast, city emergency operations staff and local meteorologists may be contacted for additional information. The school leader makes the decision to delay the opening of school, close school early or cancel school.

Hope of Detroit Academy will strive to make a decision by 6 a.m. so that local television and radio stations can broadcast the information.

We encourage parents and guardians to listen or watch your local radio or television news station for information. If in doubt, please feel free to call the school.
