Jerome Younger, grade 4

Jerome L. Younger graduated from Ferris State University in 1994. He obtained his Associate’s degree in Speech Communications and a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. While attending Ferris State, Mr. Younger had the honor of implementing and founding various programs and activities that help enhance and improve the academic and social environment of student life on campus. Mr. Younger has 20 years of practical experience that spans from all facets of business to the educational arena. Mr. Younger is personally known for his ability to provide sound professional development and educational consulting options that aids in the successful pedagogical practices of beginning and novice teachers. He has demonstrated his knowledge and understanding of the educational arena by lobbying at the state capital in support of various bills that promote educational reform and increased academic funding to urban educational efforts. Mr. Younger has worked with organizations such as MAPSA (Michigan Association of Public School Academies), Wayne County RESA, Skillman Foundation-Good School Initiative and Junior Achievement. Mr. Younger possesses skills which allows him to evaluate and dissect statistical information and asses the strengths and weakness of organizations, while developing comprehensive and quality action plans that yield s effective and proven results. Mr. Younger is the proprietor and Founder of I DO Bridal Consulting, Inc. A corporate venture that employs youths and provides them with cooperative interns that aids them in acquiring service learning credits towards graduation. Mr. Younger is a strong community activist. He is a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., where he currently serves as the coordinator for the organizations youth program the Sigma Beta Club, where he facilitates the social and academic growth of over 50 urban male youths.
